Pinterest Tutorial: How do you optimize your pin descriptions, to increase traffic to your blog?
In this short video, I will show you the 5 ways to optimize your pin descriptions, to encourage visitors back to your website.
Many people only include one or two of these in their pin descriptions, which means they are potentially missing out on more traffic to their website.
So, don’t forget to include the following in your pin descriptions:
1. Relevant text, including keywords
2. Hashtags
3. Calls to Action
4. Link
5. Source
Including a call to action increases the numbers of people who will visit your site. Might seem strange, but people need telling what to do! Also, if the link is included in the pin description, this also increases the likelihood they will then visit your website, as they need to click the image twice to do the same thing. And, lets face it, people are basically lazy! If something takes less effort, they are more likely to do it!
It is also extremely important to include the source of the pin, or the related site where you want the person to go to. I have stopped counting how many pins I have seen where there is no source!
